An FDA advisory board recently recommended that over-the-counter cough and cold medicines not be given to children under 6 years of age because of a lack of effectiveness and potential for side effects.
Recently research found out that honey may work just as well or better that coughing medicine. However, make sure that you don’t give honey to less than 1 year old baby because can cause botulism.
I haven’t tried honey yet, so I can’t guarantee of the result.
