Is It True?

My husband told me that he got an email saying that on the 17th of October, there will be 36 hours of continuous sunlight, which only happens every 2400 years.

However upon checking it out further on the net, it turned out that this is only another internet hoax because In order for a day to last 36 hours, the earth's rotation would either have to cease altogether or slow down dramatically -- neither of which ever happens, let alone once every 2,400 years. It's physically impossible.

Well, it’s probably the work of some nothing to do person that wants to get high traffic for his blog. Hahahahaha!

Information from the net without a definite or reliable source, no matter how convincing it is, most probably is a hoax. People have to be careful in quoting these things coz we might end up being a source of bad information too...

There's crazy stuff out there! I always check out Snopes when I hear things like that.
